Stimulant Overdose Awareness

The stimulant overdose awareness e-learning course aims to:

  1. Enhance knowledge of stimulants and their effects.
  2. Raise awareness of situations and behaviours that increase the risk of overdose.
  3. Outline current advice to reduce harm.
  4. Clarify the main signs of overdose and options for responding. This course should take 15-30 minutes to complete.

NPS e-Learning Modules

In partnership with the Royal College of Psychiatrists, Project NEPTUNE has developed the Neptune e-Learning Hub which includes training modules for front-line clinicians and other practitioners. The e-learning modules have been developed based on the principles used by the college and include multi-media and interactive elements and are open access (free of charge).

Discussing Drugs & Alcohol with Young People (DDAYP)

NHS Highland have developed the Discussing Drugs and Alcohol with Young People e-learning module which is aimed at practitioners from all agencies who work directly with young people. More information can be found by following the link

ASH Scotland E-learning Modules

ASH Scotland is the independent Scottish Charity working to bring about a healthier Scotland free from the harms of tobacco and related products. A new e-learning module called ‘Smoking and Problematic Substance Use’ has been launched and is available on their website along with a variety of other e-learning modules.
