YOUTH ACTION TEAMS
YOUTH ACTION TEAMS have a range of staff available to work directly with young people and families, who have drug & alcohol issues and have been in trouble with the law. Three teams cover the Highland area.

ACTION FOR CHILDREN SCOTLAND GAEL OG SERVICES
Action for Children Scotland's Gael Og services
(Gael Og is gaelic for 'Young Highlander'), provides a wide range of support services for children, young people and adults in the Highlands such as -

- Mentoring
- Fostering
- Probation
- Intensive Monitoring Service (ISMS)
Gael Og Advice Service
This informal advice service gives information and advice about substance-related issues to 12-17 yr olds, their parents/carers ad social care professionals in Highland. Outreach information and advice services are delivered in locations across the North of Scotland.

CONNECTING YOUNG CARERS
Information service to young carers whose lives are affected by having to care for someone in the family with a physical or mental illness, disability or drug or alcohol problems.

BARNARDO'S SPRINGBOARD SERVICE
The Barnardos Springboard Service offers throughcare and aftrcare support to young people aged from 15 to 20 years of age who are or have been looked after by the Highland Council. Ther service covers the whole of the Highalnd Council area. The miain Springboard office bas is in Ivnerness and there ar eproject workers based in Fort William and Wick.

Supported Lodgings Service - Supported Lodgings is shared accommodation where the landlord/lady (knowen as Supported Lodgings Provider) providers a Young Person (Lodger) with practical and emotional support with a view to increasing their confidence and readiness to move into their own home.

THE CALMAN TRUST

ALCOHOL COUNSELLING SERVICES ROSS SUTHERLAND
Provides Counselling, Group Counselling, Support for partners/family members, advice and guidance, telephone counselling, harm reduction programmes for schools, alcohol brief interventions, training provided.
SKYE AND LOCHALSH COUNCIL ON ALCOHOL
SLCA offer a professional and confidential counselling service for people with substance misuse issues in the Skye and Lochalsh Area
HARM REDUCTION SERVICE
