Margaret Somerville

Dr Margaret Somerville

Dr Margaret Somerville is Director of Public Health, NHS Highland and took up the post in February of this year. She took up the role of HADP Chair from Councillor Jaci Douglas who stood down from the post in May this year.
David Abernethy

Mr David Abernethy

David Abernethy is Governor of HM Prison Inverness and is the HADP Vice Chair. He took up the post of Governor in March 2009 before which he was Deput Governor of Barlinnie Prison.

HARRIET DEMPSTER

Ms Dempster's role as Director of Social Work involves reporting to the Joint Children's Committee; chairing the Highland Youth Strategy Group; Vice Chair of the Child Protection Committee and chair of the Highland Family Alliance.

JAN BAIRD

As Director of Community Care for NHS Highland Jan Baird has a lead role within the operational division of NHS Highland and involves forging links between strategy and implementation and supporting operational developments across NHS Highland through the emerging structure of Community Health Partnerships.

Director of Education, Culture & Sport: HUGH FRASER

Hugh Fraser was appointed to the post in March 2007, at which time he was the Council's Head of Support Services, since 2002. He was Assistant Divisional Education Officer for Inverness and appointed Area Education manager for Ross and Cromarty in 1999.

Manager: SUZY CALDER

Suzy has worked for HDAAT since 2003. Prior to this role she spent 11 years working in Tayside within both the alcohol and drug treatment services and latterly managing a New Futures Fund project. She is responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of Drug & Alcohol Strategies in Highland and line-manages the Support Team.

Statisics, Information & Research Officer: SHONA WRIGHT BA. PGDip.Psych:

Shona joined the Team in September 2007. Previously she had worked with disadvantaged groups in voluntary sector services in both Scotland and Australia. In her role , Shona is responsible for co-ordinating data collection from Partners to inform planning and decision-making and to provide feedback to Scottish Government.

Communications Officer: EILEEN MARTIN

Eileen provides a communications/media role. Eileen's background is in Paediatric Nursing.
