Naloxone Training

To teach drug users and their families and friends how to recognise the signs of an overdose, the importance of calling emergency services and what to do to help that person with basic life support. They will also be given Naloxone, an antidote to opiate drugs and taught how to administer it.

NEW TRAINING INITIATIVE-

"NHS BBV 1000" - Blood Borne Viruses Training for all NHS and Non-NHS staff in the Argyll & Bute and Highland regions

"BBV 1000" has been developed by Scottish Training on Drugs and Alcohol (STRADA) and NHS Highland to provide training on Blood Borne Viruses for a broad range of disciplines across both NHS and non-NHS organisations, including those working within statutory and voluntary drug and alcohol services, statutory health services, social services, housing and homelessness services, education services, the police and all other emergency services, among others.  The training is completely free of charge for staff based in the Argyll and Bute and Highland regions.
