BADENOCH AND STRATHSPEY DRUG AND ALCOHOL FORUM
Who are we?
Badenoch & Strathspey Drug & Alcohol Forum brings together agencies and community members interested in addressing some of the substance misuse issues in their area. Agencies represented include Police, Schools, Community Mental Health Team, Licensing Board, Streetwork Project, Youth Action Team.
What do we do?
The Forum is essentially a network for sharing information and carrying out small scale projects such as awareness-raising at School Parents' Nights. The Forum has a Small Grants Fund to offer low-level financial assistance to local organisations, such as youth clubs, who may deal with substance misuse. Contact the Chair for further details.
Last summer the Forum participated at the Badenoch & Strathspey Healthy Living Day at the Badenoch Centre, Kingussie. The Forum give out information and awareness materials, along with non-alcoholic cocktails which provide a refreshing alternative to alcohol.
